US Military Action Flayed

Pyongyang, March 2 (KCNA) -- The U.S. is now claiming that the projected Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint military exercises that it stages every year are "annual exercises for defence" and it will open to the press some of the exercises. Such sophism is a trick to cover up the aggressive nature of the military exercises, which works on nobody. Minju Joson Tuesday observes this in a signed commentary. Like all the military exercises the U.S. has staged in south Korea every year, the above-said joint military exercises are intended to improve the preemptive attack capability for stifling the DPRK by force, the commentary points out, and says: The U.S. is persistently pursing the hostile policy toward the DPRK, while handling the DPRK-U.S. relations in its criminal strategic interests. That is why the DPRK is exposed to the constant military threat by the U.S. and the danger of war persists still now in the Korean Peninsula though over half a century has passed since the cease-fire there. As long as the DPRK has self-defensive means to repel any aggression by foreign forces at one stroke, it has nothing to be afraid of such joint military exercises as Key Resolve and Foal Eagle. There is no doubt that the DPRK will take tougher countermeasures if the enemies intensify their military confrontation with it. If the U.S. and the south Korean bellicose forces persist in the anti-DPRK war exercises aimed to make a preemptive nuclear attack, this will compel the DPRK to build up its self-defensive nuclear deterrent and means of its delivery. They would be well advised to drop at once their reckless hostile policy toward the DPRK, facing up to the reality. |
