Iranian Figure on Improvement of Relations with WPK

Pyongyang, March 4 (KCNA) -- The Workers' Party of Korea founded by President Kim Il Sung and led by Kim Jong Il is an ever-victorious iron-willed party and a tested and experienced one that leads to victory the Korean people's struggle against the U.S. and for national reunification and the building of a great prosperous and powerful nation.

Hossein Kashefi, president of the Central Council of the Iran Parties House, said this when meeting the DPRK ambassador to Iran who paid a farewell call on him on Feb. 24.

We are pleased to have friendly relations with such party as the WPK, militant and authoritative, he said, adding:

Both Iranian people and the Korean people are the comrades-in-arms fighting on the common front of the struggle against the U.S. and other imperialist forces keen to dominate other countries.

It is one of the main purposes of our party's activities to unite and boost solidarity with the people of those independent and anti-U.S. countries as the Korean people.

Iran fully supports the DPRK's proposal for concluding a peace treaty.

I will make positive efforts to boost the relations between the Iran Parties House and the WPK in the days ahead.
