The resolution referred to the valuable successes all the fellow countrymen have made in the arduous struggle for achieving independence, peaceful reunification and great national unity, meeting all challenges of the anti-reunification forces over the past decade since the publication of the historic June 15 joint declaration.

It called for fully demonstrating the firm will of all the compatriots for reunification and their stamina to bring about a new phase in independent reunification, peace and prosperity under the banner of the joint declaration by significantly commemorating the tenth anniversary of the publication of the June 15 joint declaration.

It stressed the need for the people from all walks of life to pool efforts to foil the pro-U.S. conservative forces' anti-reunification confrontational policy, actively pave the way for improving the inter-Korean relations and make substantial progress in the reunification movement.

They will drive the U.S. forces out of south Korea as they only brought unbearable misfortune and pain to the Korean nation, decisively hold in check the belligerent forces' reckless moves to escalate the confrontation and ignite a war and thus build a new peaceful society free from foreign forces, it declared.
