The statement denounced as war exercises aimed at preemptive attack on the DPRK Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint military exercises to be staged by the U.S. and the south Korean puppets from March 8.

The U.S. imperialists are planning to launch the war exercises for aggression in collusion with the puppet warmongers at a time when the DPRK proposed to start the talks for replacing the Armistice Agreement with a peace treaty, it noted, branding this as a criminal move that poses a grave threat to the sovereignty and dignity of a sovereign state and drives the situation of the Korean Peninsula to a crisis.

It demanded that the U.S. and the south Korean puppets behave themselves, facing up to the trend of the times and stop the projected exercises for aggression at once.
