Intensively hurled into the Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint military exercises are over 18,000 troops including at least 10,000 U.S. imperialist aggressor troops present in south Korea, latest military hardware, the south Korean puppet army and even its militia, the statement noted, saying: The exercises can never be justified as they are an open war provocation that renders the regional situation tense and obstructs the process of peace and reconciliation in the Korean Peninsula.

It further said:

If the U.S. and the south Korean authorities truly want detente and peace in the peninsula they should discontinue all sorts of military exercises against the DPRK and immediately withdraw the U.S. forces from south Korea.

The Central Committee of the Czechoslovak Communist Party expresses full support for the DPRK, strongly urging the U.S. to drop its hostile and aggression policy toward the DPRK and stop Key Resolve and Foal Eagle.
