The statement pointed out that the Key Resolve joint military exercises are a war game for aggression staged under the dangerous war scenario for mounting a preemptive attack on the DPRK.

The U.S. has taken such double-dealing attitude as seeking to drive the DPRK, its dialogue partner, into a crucible of war while calling for "dialogue" outwardly, it charged.

The statement said that the present regime has joined in such action of the U.S., thus revealing its anti-national and anti-reunification colors.

The preparatory committee for the Student Commission of the above-said Solidarity, too, released a similar statement on Sunday. It has been made clearer that the joint military exercises are aimed at mounting a preemptive attack on the DPRK, the statement said, warning that the war maniacs will surely have to pay dearly for this.

The Solidarity for Progress, the People for Achieving Peace and Reunification and other civic and pubic organizations held a rally in Seoul on Mar. 6 at which they urged the bellicose forces to stop the large-scale war exercises at once, stressing that the anti-DPRK war exercises and the conclusion of a peace treaty can never go together.
