Attending these events were personages of the Czech preparatory committee for commemorating the centenary of birth of President Kim Il Sung, the Paektusan Czech-Korean Friendship Association and the Czech Group for the Study and Materialization of the Juche Idea and popular masses.

Present on invitation were staff members of the DPRK embassy in this country.

At the events leader Kim Jong Il's work "Let Us Hold the Great Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung in High Esteem as Eternal President of Our Republic" was read out before a speech was made by Jaroslav Kafka, co-chairman of the preparatory committee.

Noting that Kim Il Sung, the prominent leader of the world socialist movement and labor movement, performed undying feats for the Korean revolution and the human cause of independence, the speaker said:

He is the benevolent liberator of Korea and the great leader who provided an independent and creative life to the Korean people.

He led the 15-year-long arduous anti-Japanese armed struggle to victory to liberate the Korean people from the Japanese imperialists' colonial rule and built in Korea a country whose masters are the popular masses.

Referring to the contributions made by Kim Il Sung to the development of the friendly relations between the two countries, the co-chairman said:

Kim Jong Il has devoted his all to adding brilliance to Kim Il Sung's idea and exploits forever.

We wish the Korean people greater success in their work to preserve and glorify the exploits of
Kim Il Sung under the leadership of Kim Jong Il.
