The statement pointed out that the war maniacs are massively hurling huge armed forces and ultra-modern military hardware into the joint military exercises soon to be staged under the scenario for a war of aggression against the DPRK the core of which is to mount a preemptive attack on it.

This dangerous saber-rattling is a product of the ill-natured confrontation policy toward the DPRK pursued by the U.S and the south Korean authorities, it charged.

Saying that the present authorities' talk about a will to improve the inter-Korean relations is doubtful since they are getting hell-bent on large-scale war exercises to further aggravate the tension on the Korean Peninsula, the statement urged them to respect the spirit of the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration and stop at once the war games aimed at invasion of the DPRK.
