S. Korea: Settlement of "Comfort Women" Issue Urged

Pyongyang, March 13 (KCNA) -- The Women's Solidarity, the Council for the Solution of the Issue of the Volunteers' Corps and the Democratic Labor Party of south Korea at a Wednesday rally held in Seoul on March 10 urged the "assemblies" across south Korea to positively opt for adopting a resolution on the settlement of the issue related to the "comfort women" for the Imperial Japanese Army.

At the rally speakers said that 14 city and county "assemblies" including those in Kyonggi, North Jolla and South Kyongsang provinces adopted resolutions demanding a solution to the said issue and such action is gaining in scope.

The dynamic campaign for adopting similar resolutions is now under way not only in south Korea but also in Japan, they noted.

They held that the authorities and all other "assemblies" should more actively participate in the said campaign in support of their action.
