He recalled that in February last the authorities disallowed under the pretexts of "security", "maintenance of order" and the like the working-level contact with media organizations in the north intended to discuss the joint work for marking the 10th anniversary of the publication of the June 15 joint declaration and other issues.

If the "government" wishes to make even a little success in the inter-Korean relations, it should not block non-governmental exchange, cooperation and exchange in the media field in particular, he said.

He urged the authorities to refrain from doing such foolish acts as making a mockery of the people and depending on foreign forces any longer and admit the injustice of their policy of confrontation with the DPRK and drop it at once, though belatedly.

Media persons will wage a dynamic movement to implement the inter-Korean declarations and get the "National Security Law" abolished, he declared.
