US Invariable Scenario for Preemptive Nuclear Attack Blasted
Pyongyang, March 17 (KCNA) -- It has been recently disclosed that the United States worked out an operation plan in which the DPRK, China, Russia, Iran and other countries are designated as potential targets of its preemptive nuclear attacks and is contemplating developing new type offensive weapons.

Rodong Sinmun Wednesday observes in a signed commentary carried in this regard:

This reveals once again the double-dealing tactics and nuclear ambition of the U.S. whose words do not match its deeds, having an axe to grind.

The U.S. "smile as a token of good faith" is nothing but a gesture for propaganda's purpose to pull the wool over the eyes of world people, political window-dressing and a chicanery to mentally disarm the anti-U.S. countries.

The U.S. is now loud-mouthed about "a world without nuclear weapons" and "regional denuclearization" but, in actuality, has secretly worked to round off new operation plans to mount preemptive nuclear attacks on those countries regarded as hostile to it since long ago.

The basic aim sought by the U.S. imperialists in developing weapons capable of swiftly striking any part of the earth under the pretext of someone's "missile threat" is to mount a preemptive attack on the DPRK and other countries lying in the way of realizing their ambition for world domination.

The U.S. has put spurs to the development of new type weapons after singling out the DPRK as a target of its preemptive nuclear attack. This fact once again convinces the DPRK that the U.S. hostile policy toward it and Washington's scenario for preemptive nuclear attack remain unchanged.

The action taken by the U.S. can never go with the process for solving the nuclear issue of the Korean Peninsula.

The DPRK was entirely just when it opted for bolstering up its nuclear deterrent for self-defence to cope with the U.S. increasing nuclear threat and its evermore undisguised attempt to attack the DPRK. The DPRK's war deterrent will steadily grow strong as long as the U.S. persistently follows its hostile policy toward the DPRK and escalates the moves for a preemptive nuclear attack on it.
