Rodong Sinmun today observes this in a signed commentary.

Citing facts, the commentary observes that scenarios for a war of aggression against the DPRK applied to the said war maneuvers and their program suffice to prove their offensive nature and danger.

It goes on to say:

It has become clearer that the U.S. and south Korean authorities' talk about "dialogue" and "peace" is nothing but sheer sophism to cover up their wicked true colors as disturbers of dialogue and provokers of a war.

The exercises have brought into bolder relief the bellicose true colors of the U.S. and the south Korean puppet trigger-happy forces as harassers of peace as they seek only to realize the wild ambition for invasion of the DPRK, utterly indifferent to the detente and peace on the Korean Peninsula and the process for improving the inter-Korean relations.

They are sadly mistaken if they think they can attain something by posing a grave threat to the DPRK and escalating the tension on the Korean Peninsula to the extremes through the adventurous nuclear war exercises.

As clarified in the report issued recently by the Supreme Command of the Korean People's Army, the revolutionary armed forces of the DPRK who regard the dignity and sovereignty of the nation as dearer than their own lives will clearly teach the U.S. imperialists and the south Korean puppet warmongers what a miserable end they will meet if they dare ignite a war of aggression against it.
