The work, published on Sept. 5, Juche 97 (2008), stresses that the DPRK's history of six decades is that of gigantic struggle and victory and great creation and changes in which its people have defended the independence and honor of the country and built a prosperous and powerful socialist nation, going through the tempest of the revolution under the guidance of the great leader and the great party. And it clarifies the idea that any country, small and backward, can turn into a developed and dignified power when it is guided by a great leader and a great party.

Also expounded in the work are the tasks and ways for accomplishing the revolutionary cause of Juche under the banner of the Juche idea and Songun.
