S. Korean Balderdash about N. Issue Dismissed
Pyongyang, March 20 (KCNA) -- Hyon In Thaek, minister of "Unification" of south Korea, in a recent lecture, was vociferous about unstable peace on the Korean Peninsula. He talked nonsense that its main cause lies in the fact that the "nuclear issue of the north" remains unsettled and south Korea should be "a main player in leading the north to changes". Earlier, he went the lengths of admonishing the DPRK by asserting that the nuclear issue is a "problem directly related to reunification going beyond the conception of nonproliferation" and, therefore, the DPRK should "join" in the efforts of the international community for denuclearization if it hopes for reunification.

Rodong Sinmun Saturday observes in a signed commentary in this regard:

Those who are hell-bent on the moves to exterminate fellow countrymen with nukes of outsiders staged exercises for a nuclear war against the DPRK and are working hardest to lay the blame for the unstable situation at the door of the DPRK like a thief crying "Stop the thief!" This reminds one of a fox getting more furious, counting on a wolf.

What traitor Hyon uttered on the basis of his wrong view on reunification is nothing but sheer nonsense, the commentary notes, and goes on:

The reckless and provocative remarks made by the conservative group including Hyon over the nuclear issue are aimed at doing harm to the DPRK and isolating and stifling it.

The DPRK cannot but feel the bitterness of disillusion about the conservative ruling forces as they persist in treachery, far from joining hands with fellow countrymen to make efforts for national prosperity.

Their rhetoric about "being a main player" in doing something only provokes a side-splitting laughter.

They should bear in mind that there is no chance for them to involve themselves in any dialogue over the issue of the Korean Peninsula, much less playing the above-said role as they go reckless, unaware of where they stand.

Those who are keen to achieve their ulterior aim are bound to pay a dear price for it.
