Repression Protested in S. Korea
Pyongyang, March 21 (KCNA) -- The Solidarity for Implementing the South-North Joint Declaration in south Korea issued a statement on Thursday denouncing the puppet authorities for their violent suppression of its member.

The statement referred to the fact that the Kyonggi provincial police office walked off Hong Kap Phyo, ex-chairman of the Society for National Spirit who is advisor to the solidarity, on the charge of violation of the "National Security Law" and searched his house on the same day.

The police repression was committed under the groundless pretext that he "encouraged and praised the north", it pointed out, deploring that the case has made the people feel once again that anyone can neither say nor write as wished in south Korea as long as the NSL exists.

The statement stressed that the organization would wage vigorous struggle to stop the suppression of the progressive figure and get the NSL abrogated.
