The statement said:

It is 60 years since the United States provoked the war of aggression against the DPRK after occupying half of the Korean Peninsula in the mid-1940s.

In the past 60 years the U.S. has committed ceaseless armed provocations against the DPRK and escalated political and economic pressure on it.

It is the unanimous wish and desire of all the Korean people to achieve the reunification of the country and it is an issue of worldwide concern.

It is a precondition for achieving the reunification of Korea to replace the AA with a peace treaty and get the U.S. forces withdrawn from south Korea.

We Arab lawyers hold that the Korean Peninsula should be reunified on the basis of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration and the October 4 declaration as desired by all the Korean people and the world peace-loving people and extend full support to the DPRK's proposal, the statement stressed.
