Present there on invitation were Ambassador Arif Mahmood and staff members of the Pakistani embassy here.

Jon Yong Jin, vice-chairman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries, and officials concerned and working people in the city of Pyongyang were on hand.

Jon said at the meeting that President Kim Il Sung laid a solid foundation for the friendly relations between the two countries through historic meetings with leaders of Pakistan.

He declared that the DPRK would develop the relations with Pakistan in the future, too.

The Pakistani ambassador noted that the DPRK is a country with the great people, expressing the belief that the Korean people would achieve greater advance under the leadership of General Secretary Kim Jong Il.

At the end of the meeting, the participants enjoyed an art performance of schoolchildren.
