On display in the venue of the events were works of Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il and photos on their undying exploits and photos of the Korean people in the efforts to build a great prosperous and powerful nation.

Speeches were made at the meeting.

The honorary chairman of the Paektusan Czech-Korean Friendship Association said that the world progressives, together with the Korean people, commemorate the birthday of Kim Il Sung, the prominent leader of the Korean and the world revolution, in most humble reverence.

He praised Kim Il Sung as a peerlessly great man who liberated Korea from the Japanese imperialists' occupation of more than four decades and led to victory the Korean War, ignited by the U.S. imperialists, to save the destiny of the Korean nation.

Kim Il Sung founded the immortal Juche idea and built a powerful socialist state in Korea under its banner, he stressed, adding:

The Korean people are now working hard to build a thriving socialist nation under the leadership of Kim Jong Il.

We wish for the successful realization of the cause of Kim Il Sung.
