S. Korean Authorities Accused of Crying out for Confrontation

Pyongyang, March 24 (KCNA) -- It was reported that the chief executive of south Korea recently talked to the chief of the General Staff of the puppet navy about the "threat from the north" and "its provocation" and the puppet prime minister and the puppet minister of Unification vied with each other in hurling mud at the DPRK, vociferating about the "nuclear issue of the north." Minju Joson Wednesday observes in a signed commentary in this regard: It is great irony that the man who claims to be "president" allowed himself to falsify facts like a thief crying "Stop the thief!" lost to shame, in a bid to slander fellow countrymen. And what is more ridiculous is that his confidents thoughtlessly echoed his utterances. When the U.S. rolls back its hostile policy towards the DPRK and replaces the Armistice Agreement with a peace treaty, the nuclear issue of the Korean Peninsula will find a smooth solution, the commentary notes, and goes on: The above-said lackeys of the U.S. are in such poor position that they cannot say to their American master what they want to do. Yet, they make no scruple of letting loose vituperation against the north, not content with staging the nuclear war exercises targeted against the compatriots protecting the destiny of the nation. Can there be anything more intolerable than this ingratitude? Their claim that the "root cause of the instable peace on the peninsula lies in that the nuclear issue of the north remains unsettled" is nothing but sophism to cover up their crimes. Ever since their seizure of power, they have disturbed the peace of the peninsula and laid hurdles in the way of settling the nuclear issue, while rushing headlong into confrontation with fellow countrymen, pursuant to the U.S. hostile policy towards the DPRK. They were reported to have prattled that they "would play a main role in leading the north to changes." But if they keep standing in the way of settling the issue as now, they will not be given any chance to participate in the negotiations, much less playing the above-said role. The south Korean chief executive and his confidents would be well advised to stop talking disgusting barbs, bearing this in mind. |
