Japan Accused of Hindering Denuclearization Process
Pyongyang, March 24 (KCNA) -- The Japanese ambassador in Seoul recently cried out for solving the "abduction issue" along with the issue of denuclearizing the Korean Peninsula.

Commenting on this, Minju Joson Wednesday observes:

Disgusting and hateful is Japan's persistent stand to jumble up the "abduction issue" with such important political issue as the denuclearization of the peninsula though they are absolutely not relevant to each other.

Lurking behind Japan's desperate effort to jumble up the two issues is to deter the international community from focusing attention on solving the issue of the denuclearization and, furthermore, create conditions favorable for attaining its sinister political aim.

It is the strategic goal of the Japanese reactionaries to scuttle the denuclearization process, secure a pretext and justification for going nuclear, cover up Japan's crime-woven past and evade the redemption of its past wrongs.

Japan is now busy peddling the story that the simultaneous solution to the "abduction issue" and the "nuclear issue" is the way for settling the issue of the DPRK-Japan relations but this is nothing but sheer chicanery to falsify the reality.

The bilateral relations have not yet been settled not because of the "abduction issue" and the "nuclear issue" but because of the attitude of Japan which has neither sincerely admitted nor made apology and reparation for the hideous crimes it committed against humanity by bringing the Korean people untold misfortune and pain after putting Korea under its illegal occupation for more than four decades.

Japan should sincerely apologize for the above-said crimes and make reparation for them. This is a starting point and the only way for improving the bilateral relations.

Japan had better drop its foolish intention to abuse the denuclearization issue for attaining its black-hearted objective.
