Attending it were members of the Religious Believers Council of Korea including its Chairman Jang Jae On from the north side and Chairman of the board Ham Se Ung and other members of the Memorial Commission for Martyr An Jung Gun from the south side.

The participants in the meeting condemned the anti-ethical crimes committed by the Japanese imperialists against the Korean nation in the past and called upon the Koreans to turn out as one in the struggle for defending and implementing the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration while rejecting the foreign forces' domination and interference by the united efforts of the nation.

An appeal to all Koreans was adopted at the meeting.

Saying that all sorts of anti-ethical crimes committed by the Japanese imperialists against the Korean nation still remain an indelible bruise in the hearts of the Koreans century after century, the appeal stressed the need to get an apology and reparation for the atrocities of the Japanese imperialists without fail.

It called for decisively frustrating Japan's distortion of history and its moves for grabbing Tok Islets and militarist moves by the united efforts of the Korean nation.

It held that this year, 100 years since the fabrication of the "Korea-Japan Annexation Treaty" by the Japanese imperialists, should be set as the "year of anti-Japanese joint struggle" and the vigorous campaign for exacting apology and reparation from Japan for its past crimes committed against the Korean nation be continued on a nationwide scale.

The Koreans from all walks of life who heartily love the country and the nation should unite with each other to resolutely reject the unjust interference and pressure by foreign forces and smash the moves of the treacherous separatists going against independence, democracy and reunification, it stressed.

It called upon all Koreans to turn out as one in the struggle for independent reunification, peace and prosperity of the nation under the uplifted banner of the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration, always remembering the patriotic spirit displayed by martyr An Jung Gun.
