Stockholm International Peace Research Institute recently disclosed that the U.S. topped the world list of arms export during 2005-2009.

Commenting on this, Minju Joson Tuesday observes:

What should not be overlooked is that majority of U.S. arms were sold to south Korea. This proves that the U.S. is an arch criminal harassing world peace and stability and a kingpin driving the situation on the Korean Peninsula to the brink of a war.

It is by no means fortuitous that the Korean Peninsula has become the world's most dangerous hotspot and a region highest in military tension.

The south Korean puppet warmongers have become more frantic than ever before in the military confrontation with the DPRK, using the arms provided by the U.S. This reality suffices to prove that the weapons spread by the U.S. are used for wars and murder, not for preserving peace.

The U.S. is not qualified to talk about disarmament as it has turned various parts of the world into battlefields, adversely affecting global peace and progress.

Huge U.S.-made weapons have been massively shipped to south Korea over the past five years. This fact urgently requires the DPRK to bolster its war deterrent for self-defence.

The Korean People's Army, as it had already clarified, will clearly teach the enemies what the strike of the army of Mt. Paektu is like and what the war to be fought by it is like, if they opt for military provocations to stifle the DPRK by force.

No sophisticated U.S.-made weapons would protect the fate of the U.S. and the south Korean puppet warmongers.
