The magazine carried a photo of General Secretary Kim Jong Il receiving a bunch of flowers from a child.

Edited in it was photo-illustrated news about colorful events held by the association and its affiliated organizations to celebrate his birthday.

Under captions "The pluck of the great leader General Kim Jong Il" and "Korea-leader and women's movement" the magazine carried articles praising the personality of Kim Jong Il as a great man and his undying revolutionary feats.

It also ran articles titled "Let us open the decisive phase of national reunification by the concerted efforts of the whole nation" and "We will turn out in the struggle for independence, democracy and peaceful reunification!"

The articles called upon all Koreans in the north and the south and overseas to defend the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration, meet the blatant challenge of the anti-reunification forces by dint of the national unity and push ahead with the grand nationwide advance for reunification under the banner of "By our nation itself" full of confidence in victory and optimism and thus open up a new phase of national reunification this significant year.
