Pyongyang, April 2 (KCNA) -- Another infant genius has come in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, attracting public attention. It is Kim Yu Jong, a two-year-old girl studying at Hasin Kindergarten in Sosong District, Pyongyang. Her grandfather Kim Sang Yon, 64, told KCNA that she began to learn Korean characters one year or more after birth. Finding her natural gift, teachers of the kindergarten and her parents have taught her Korean language with letter cards and words from TV and magazines. Now she has mastered Korean alphabet, including difficult letters, and can read newspapers. She also has a fine feeling for music. When she was a little baby, she used to stop crying with the sound of song, and when she began speaking, she could memorize and sing any songs she listened to once, even those difficult for adults to sing. She is cultivating her talent to the full under the country's advantageous socialist education system, amid great expectation of people. |
