The resolution condemned the U.S. and the anti-reunification forces of south Korea for making desperate efforts to keep Korea divided into two parts indefinitely despite the daily growing desire of the Korean nation for peace and reunification.

It noted that the south Korean society is groaning under the dictatorial rule of the present regime and the inter-Korean cooperation and exchanges are blocked and the pain resulting from the national division persists due to the moves of the anti-reunification forces.

Judging the present regime is the short-cut to peace and reunification, the resolution noted, calling upon all the progressive forces to achieve alliance and solidarity to win the upcoming "election to the local self-governing bodies" without fail.
