Kim Yong Nam Meets Gambian President
Pyongyang, April 3 (KCNA) -- Talks between Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly, and Yaya A. J. J. Jammeh, president of Gambia, were held at the Presidential Palace on Friday.

Yaya A. J. J. Jammeh said that it is well known that as an independent country the DPRK guided by the great Juche idea rendered sincere help to African countries in their liberation struggle in colonies.

The exploits of President Kim Il Sung performed by extending material and moral support to the African countries in their struggle for independence will always remembered, he stressed.

Both sides at the talks exchanged views on the matter of boosting the bilateral friendly and cooperative relations in various fields and on issues of mutual concern.

On hand were Kim Hyong Jun, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, Ri Kyong Son, DPRK ambassador to Gambia, and Mariama Khan, general secretary of the presidential office, Lamin Kaba Bajo, minister of Fishery, Water Resources and Parliamentary Affairs, and other officials concerned.
