Present there were Ryu Mi Yong, chairwoman of the Central Guidance Committee of the Chondoist Association of Korea, officials of the committee and Chondoists in Pyongyang.

The vice-chairperson of the committee made a report at the ceremony.

The reporter said that Chondoism was founded for the purposes of "rejecting the West and Japan," "promoting national interests and welfare of the people," "realizing Kwangje Changsaeng (deliverance of the people)" and "building an earthly paradise" reflecting the desires and requirements of the Korean people in their struggle against feudalism and aggression in the second half of the 19th century, adding that the patriotic struggle of the Chondoists is recorded in the shining history of the Korean nation.

The grand march for independent reunification which has made dynamic advance as desired and wished by all fellow countrymen is facing serious difficulties due to the vicious racket of the south Korean conservative ruling group for confrontation with the DPRK and its war moves, the reporter said, calling on all the Chondoists who truly love the country and are concerned about its destiny to achieve "unity in purpose" under the banner of "By our nation itself" and turn out as one in the actions for frustrating the evermore undisguised anti-reunification and confrontation moves of the conservative authorities of south Korea, improving the inter-Korean relations and promoting national reconciliation and cooperation.

The reporter appealed to all the Chondoists in the north and the south to work heart and soul for accomplishing the sacred cause of independent reunification by implementing the north-south joint declarations this significant year which marks the 10th anniversary of the publication of the historic June 15 joint declaration.

The attendants of the ceremony prayed for earlier national reunification so that the idea of Chondoism may come true.
