Kim Jong Il conducted energetic ideological and theoretical activities and elucidated for the first time the idea and theory that the socialist ruling party is, in essence, the servant of the people among other things and all the activities of the working-class party should be thoroughly based on the love and trust in the people. It became the guidelines that give a powerful impetus to the cause of building the revolutionary party.

Under his steersmanship the WPK has steadfastly maintained the independent stand in the revolutionary struggle and construction regarding it as a basic mission to defend the interests of the popular masses.

The people of the DPRK are exercising their rights as masters of all social activities including state control under the leadership of the WPK which shapes the line and policies fully reflecting the wishes and will of the masses and paves the way for the national prosperity relying on their revolutionary zeal and creative ingenuity.

Today the people of the DPRK are demonstrating their dignity as the people of a great power enjoying the single-minded unity and invincible national capability for self-defense which no other country can match.

The WPK is adding luster to the independent dignity of the people in the world after turning the DPRK into a great power with dignity under the uplifted banner of Songun. This is the greatest feat performed by it for the times and history.

Under his leadership, the WPK is enjoying high praises as a genuine mother party that successfully translates the ideal of the people into reality.

It is the steadfast will of Kim Jong Il that even a star should be picked up if it is desired by the people and no calculation should be prioritized to do so.

No force on the earth can destroy the might of the harmonious whole in which the party boundlessly loves the people and devotedly serves them and the people wholeheartedly follow the party regarding it as an embrace of their eternal life.
