Pyongyang, April 8 (KCNA) -- A meeting of the Presidium of the International Liaison Committee for Reunification and Peace in Korea (CILRECO) was held in France on Mar. 27.

Present there were Robert Charvin, secretary general of the International Association of Lawyers to Support the June 15 Joint Declaration, Willy Burgeon, honorary president of the Wallon Regional Council of Belgium, and Andre Aubry, delegate president of the France-Korea Friendship Association, who are honorary chairmen of the CILRECO, Guy Dupre, secretary general of the CILRECO, and representatives of political parties, social organizations and organizations for friendship and solidarity with the Korean people in France, Britain, Denmark, Germany, Belgium, Portugal, Algeria and other countries and personages of different circles.

In his report at the meeting Robert Charvin referred to the solidarity activities vigorously conducted by the International Liaison Committee to condemn the U.S. and its followers' hostile policy towards the DPRK on a worldwide scale and support the Korean people's cause of national reunification over the past years.

Last year the DPRK fully demonstrated its sovereignty and dignity in international arena despite the obstructive moves of the U.S. and its followers, thus giving encouragement and confidence to the world progressives in the struggle against imperialism, the reporter noted, adding: This would have been unthinkable without the Songun politics of General Secretary Kim Jong Il.

Speakers at the meeting noted with high appreciation that the prestige and national strength of the DPRK have been remarkably enhanced thanks to the Songun politics of Kim Jong Il. And they expressed the resolution to intensify the solidarity activities of supporting the DPRK's just proposals for national reunification and conclusion of a peace treaty and the Korean people's efforts for building of a great prosperous and powerful nation.

The meeting adopted an action program of the CILRECO for 2010 and its final declaration.

The action program clarified that the CILRECO would focus its activities on supporting the Korean people's efforts to attain the grandiose objective till 2012 as well as the cause of Korea's independent and peaceful reunification.

The final declaration urged the U.S. to come out for the conclusion of peace treaty without delay, acknowledging that no other country but the U.S. is responsible for replacement of the Armistice Agreement by peace treaty.

A letter to Kim Jong Il was adopted at the meeting.

The letter noted that the participants in the meeting strongly denounced the U.S.-south Korea joint military exercises, Key Resolve and Foal Eagle, and hardened their determination to intensify the CILRECO activities for disclosing the anti-national and anti-reunification moves of the south Korean authorities who are escalating the inter-Korean confrontation in collusion with foreign forces.

They also decided to wage more vigorous activities demanding replacement of AA with peace treaty and removal of the concrete walls built in the area south of the Military Demarcation Line on the occasion of the month for international solidarity with the Korean people, it said.
