President Kim Il Sung founded the immortal Juche idea, clearly indicating the road to be followed by humankind and translating into a reality the desire of the Korean people to live in a new world free from all sorts of exploitation and oppression, the statement said, adding that this instilled stronger confidence and courage into the world progressives in their struggle to build a new society.

It noted the Songun politics pursued by Kim Jong Il has helped firmly defend socialist Korea from the moves of the imperialists for aggression and encouraged the progressive people in their efforts to live in a new independent world.

Expressing firm belief that the Korean people would wage a dynamic drive for building a thriving socialist nation and achieving the independent and peaceful reunification of the country under his outstanding Songun leadership, the statement reiterated their will to invariably support the Korean people in their just cause.
