Speeches were made by the vice-president of the China Association for International Friendly Contact, a family member related to the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle and others at the round-table talks.

The speakers recollected that President Kim Il Sung not only put an end to the colonial rule of the Japanese imperialists and beat back the U.S. imperialists' aggression but also devoted his whole life to the Korean people's cause of national liberation and socialist revolution and construction, the independent and peaceful reunification of the country and global independence.

A remembrance meeting of families of those related to the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle was held at the DPRK embassy in Beijing on April 8.

Speeches were made by a son of Li Zade, an anti-Japanese revolutionary fighter, Zhang Jinlu, a daughter of Zhang Weihua, an anti-Japanese revolutionary martyr, Feng Yila, a daughter of Feng Zhongyun, a person related to the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle, Shang Jialan, a daughter of Shang Yue, a person related to the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle, and a daughter of Liu Hanxing, a person related to the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle.

They remembered with deep emotion that the President performed the undying feats for the Sino-DPRK friendship and unsparingly showed paternal loving care for them, the descendants of the comrades-in-arms who fought alongside him during the past anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle.

A meeting was held in Russia on April 8 to commemorate the Day of the Sun.

Displayed in the venue of the meeting were works of the President and Kim Jong Il and books introducing the undying feats of the three commanders of Mt. Paektu.

Present there were representatives and members of the All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks and other political parties, officials of the Russian Association for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK and masses.

Speakers at the meeting highly praised the undying feats the President performed for the Korean revolution and the human cause of independence.

Messages to Kim Jong Il were adopted at the meeting.
