DPRK's April Holidays Commemorated

Pyongyang, April 12 (KCNA) -- Round-table talks, seminars, photo exhibitions and film shows were held in Tunisia, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Singapore and Malaysia from March 31 to April 5 to commemorate the Day of the Sun, the 17th anniversary of General Secretary Kim Jong Il's election as chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission and the 78th anniversary of the foundation of the heroic Korean People's Army.

Displayed in the venues of the events were photos on the glorious revolutionary histories and undying feats of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.

Speeches were made there.

The secretary general of the People's Unity Party of Tunisia said that the Korean people hold
Kim Il Sung in high esteem as the eternal President of the DPRK, adding that his party would always remember his immortal exploits.

Speakers at the seminar held in Bangladesh noted that Kim Il Sung turned the DPRK into the strongest fortress of independence in the world and made a great contribution to accomplishing the human cause of independence.

The chairman of the Pakistan Society for the Study of Independence said that the undying feats performed by Kim Il Sung in founding the army are shedding more brilliant rays thanks to the Songun politics pursued by Chairman of the NDC Kim Jong Il. No force on earth can match the might of the army and people of the DPRK led by him, the chairman added.

The participants of the film shows watched such Korean films as "Fireworks for a Thriving Nation", "Arms of Korea" and "The Country I Saw".
