A press conference took place in Seoul on the same day in this connection.

The organization there said that the two years of the office of the present authorities were a period in which they swam against the trend of the times by violating democracy, bringing the people's living to destitution, escalating the inter-Korean confrontation, etc.

It recalled that people from all walks of life such as workers, peasants, the poor, women and youth and students pooled their efforts to decisively judge the present regime at "the elections to the local self-governing bodies" and regain the sovereignty of the people.

Noting that the people will demonstrate their tremendous might through the "elections", the organization declared it would stage actions in various forms and by different methods.

At the end of the press conference the members of the organization conducted actions denouncing the puppet group for intensifying its suppression of the labor movement, deteriorating the inter-Korean relations, pushing ahead with the "projects for improving the four big rivers" and the moves to put media under its control, etc.
