Congratulations from Syrian Defence Minister

| Pyongyang, April 12 (KCNA) -- General Secretary Kim Jong Il was presented with a congratulatory message and a large floral basket by Ali Muhammad Habib Mahmoud, deputy commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces and defence minister of Syria, on the occasions of the 17th anniversary of his election as chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and the 78th founding anniversary of the heroic Korean People's Army. The message and basket were handed to the DPRK ambassador to Syria on April 8 by the director of the Section of Protocol of the Organizational and Administrative Department of the Ministry of Defence of Syria. |
