Kim Jong Il Enjoys Performance Given by People's Interior Forces

Pyongyang, April 17 (KCNA) -- General Secretary Kim Jong Il enjoyed a performance given by the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Korean People's Interior Forces. Put on the stage were female chorus "Soldiers Sing of Their Supreme Commander", female guitar quintet "This Country Is So Good", male solo and Pangchang "Spring Reflecting Loving Care", female solo "Country Will Recognize You", Oungum solo "Kitchen Car Runs", story-telling and female solo "Here is My Country, Land of Chollima", accordion trio "Song of Best Wishes" and other colorful numbers. The performers enthusiastically sang high praises of their high honor and pride of living and struggling as revolutionary soldiers of the Party and the leader and defenders of the people and successfully represented the unshakable faith and will of the interior forces to defend the socialist system in the DPRK as firm as a rock. The revolutionary and militant performance deeply impressed the audience as it truthfully represented the noble spiritual world of the sentinels in the class struggle. He warmly waved back to the enthusiastically cheering performers and audience and congratulated the artistes on their success in the presentation. He expressed great satisfaction over the fact that the song and dance ensemble gave a splendid performance rich in ideological contents and high in artistry as it is distinct in the policy stand and pervaded with the spirit of the times. He highly appreciated the successful performance and extended thanks to the artistes. Noting that the song and dance ensemble has a very important mission and duty to fulfill, he set forth important tasks which would serve as guidelines for its creative work and performing activities. Among the audience were Ju Sang Song, member of the NDC of the DPRK and minister of People's Security, Ri Pyong Sam, director of the Political Bureau of the Korean People's Interior Forces, and other commanding officers of the forces, Choe Thae Bok and Kim Ki Nam, secretaries of the C.C., the WPK, Kim Kyong Hui and Jang Song Thaek, department directors of the C.C., the WPK, and other leading officials of the Party Central Committee.
