The members of the art squad put on the stage quintet poem recital "A Song in Praise of General Kim Il Sung", serial songs "Song of Mangyongdae", drama based on real story "Eternal Heart of Defender", female solo "We Long for You, General", mixed quartet "Love for the Motherland and Hate for the Enemy," bass guitar and song "Chollima Gallops Forward", poem and chorus "Green Pine on Nam Hill" and other numbers of various genres.

Through the performance the artistes vividly represented the shining course of struggle the KPA has covered, winning victory and glory only under the care of Kim Jong Il, the brilliant commander of Mt. Paektu, and the unshakable faith and will of the servicepersons of the KPA to reliably guarantee the building of a thriving nation and the final victory of the revolutionary cause of Juche with arms while defending the precious gains of the Party and the revolution at the risk of their lives.

They also powerfully demonstrated the might of the army artistes who are successfully discharging their sacred mission as the buglers of the Songun era, instilling ardent love for the Party and the leader, the country and the people into the servicepersons.

Kim Jong Il expressed great satisfaction over the fact that the members of the art squad staged a unique and militant performance with successful works of great cognitional and educational value as it fully reflects the inexhaustible mental power of the servicepersons. He highly appreciated their successful performance and extended thanks to them.

He advanced important tasks which would serve as guidelines for further intensifying the revolutionary and militant performing activities.

Among the audience were KPA General U Tong Chuk, member of the NDC of the DPRK, KPA Generals Kim Won Hong and Hyon Chol Hae and other commanding officers of the army, Choe Thae Bok and Kim Ki Nam, secretaries of the WPK Central Committee, Kim Kyong Hui and Kim Yang Gon, department directors of the WPK Central Committee, and other leading officials of the Party Central Committee.
