The chairman of the Laos-Korea Friendship Association said that Kim Il Sung founded the Juche idea and liberated the country, decisively defeated the armed invasion of the U.S. imperialists and achieved great victory and successes in socialist construction by wisely leading the Korean people.

Today the DPRK has turned into a military power under the Songun politics of General Secretary Kim Jong Il, he said, stressing that the single-minded unity, in which all the people are closely rallied in ideology and purpose around their leader, is one of the admirable pictures of the DPRK.

The general secretary of the Central Committee of the Nepal Communist Party (Marxist-Leninist), the minister of Land Reform and Management and other speakers praised Kim Il Sung as the father of socialist Korea who built Korea, which once suffered eclipse in the world, into the power of Juche and the eternal President of the DPRK, saying that his immortal exploits for the Korean revolution and the world revolution and the human cause of independence would remain forever in the hearts of the progressives.

Appreciated at the film shows were Korean films "Reply of Korea" and "Fireworks for a Thriving Nation".

A message to Kim Jong Il was adopted at the meeting held in Nepal.
