A ceremony for welcoming the delegation took place before the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Memorial Tower.

Present there were Alvaro Lopez Miera, members of the delegation, the Cuban ambassador to the DPRK and the military attache of the Cuban embassy here.

Ri Yong Ho, chief of the General Staff of the Korean People's Army, Pak Jae Gyong, vice-minister of the People's Armed Forces, general officers and other officers of the KPA were on hand.

Alvaro Lopez Miera together with Ri Yong Ho reviewed the KPA guards of honor.
