Present there were officials of the General Association of Koreans in China including its Chairperson Choe Un Bok, representatives of its affiliated organizations, chairpersons of its regional associations, representatives of its branches, Koreans in China, the consul-general of the DPRK Consulate in Shenyang and its staff members, staff members of offices of the DPRK companies in China and officials concerned of China.

The reporter said that the President is the eternal leader of the Korean people and the eternal sun of mankind as he, possessed of personality and qualification in all aspects at the highest level as a great man, performed great exploits in carving out the destiny of the Korean nation and accomplishing the human cause of independence with his great revolutionary idea and practices.

General Secretary Kim Jong Il has led the struggle to carry forward and accomplish the revolutionary cause of Juche started by the President along the road of victory and glory, glorifying the 20th century as Kim Il Sung's century, the reporter noted, adding:

The Koreans in China should bring earlier the prosperity of the homeland and the independent reunification of the country by displaying indomitable will and fighting spirit.

A letter to Kim Jong Il was adopted at the meeting.

The meeting was followed by an art performance.

A photo and book exhibition on the theme of "President Kim Il Sung and Overseas Koreans" and "Comrade Kim Jong Il and Korea Today" was held prior to the meeting.
