A report was delivered by Kim Hwa Hyo, chairman of the Korean Social Scientists Association in Japan, to be followed by speeches.

The speakers said that the people in homeland are bringing about great innovations and a leap forward every day in order to glorify this year as a year of prosperity in which the people fully enjoy happiness and a year of dramatic changes to be specially recorded in the history of building a thriving nation.

Officials of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan and other Koreans in Japan are filled with faith and conviction of a bright future of socialist Korea while witnessing and experiencing the eye-opening events taking place in the homeland, they noted.

Referring to the successes and prospect of building a socialist economic power in the homeland which has reached the phase of new development, they called for frustrating the vicious campaign of the reactionaries at home and abroad against the DPRK.
