The bulletin carried a photograph of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il standing together.

The bulletin in an article introduced the detailed facts that the President founded the Juche idea, the Songun idea, led the anti-Japanese armed struggle to victory to achieve the historic cause of the national liberation, repelled the U.S. imperialists' armed invasion to honorably defend the freedom and independence of the country and turned the DPRK into a socialist power, independent in politics, self-supporting in economy and self-reliant in national defence.

It also said that Kim Jong Il was born in the Secret Camp of Mt. Paektu and grew up while hearing gunfire as lullaby during the anti-Japanese war and nurtured his qualification and personality as an ever-victorious strategist in the flames of the Fatherland Liberation War.

The Songun politics pursued by Kim Jong Il helps defend the national sovereignty from the constant aggression moves on the part of the U.S. imperialists and their followers and reliably ensure socialist construction.
