The festival, which opened on April 26, provided scientists, technicians and working people from across the country with an opportunity to exchange valuable successes and experience conducive to stepping up the drive for putting the national economy on Juche, modern and IT basis and developing the IT and Nano technology and bio-engineering and technological engineering of various other sectors.

Highly appreciated at the festival were successes achieved in the fields of light industry, agriculture and chemical industry such as vinalon fiber of our own invention, high-yielding paddy rice and organic fertilizer.

Drawing the particular attention of the visitors were successes made in four pilot sectors of the national economy and all fronts of the economic construction including the CNC technology of Korean style, a combined automatic control system that helped modernize the production processes at various units and the Juche-based steel-making method.
