May Day Observed

Pyongyang, May 1 (KCNA) -- Leading newspapers Saturday carry editorials on the occasion of the 120th May Day. Rodong Sinmun says: The Korean people extend warm militant greetings and firm solidarity to the working people and other revolutionary people the world over dynamically struggling for social progress and peace under the uplifted banner of independence against imperialism. May Day is an international holiday demonstrating the militant might and revolutionary unity of the working people the world over struggling to put an end to all sorts of domination and subjugation and achieve independence. The Korean people are now demonstrating the dignity as the most prestigious contingent of the world anti-imperialist independent forces for their intense fidelity to the popular masses' cause of independence and unshakable revolutionary principle and the great feats performed by them in the development of the socialist movement. The working people in the DPRK are now creditably discharging their honorable mission and duty in the sacred struggle to successfully accomplish the revolutionary cause of Juche started on Mt. Paektu, the cause of socialism. There are no such fighters in the world as the working people in the DPRK who feel proud and worthy of a true life in following their leader and devotedly defend their leader and implement his instructions by advancing like the wind, creating something out of nothing if desired by the Party. Waves of a high-pitched drive for a great revolutionary surge are sweeping all over the country and world-startling events are taking place day by day. This is the Korean working people's manifestation of patriotic enthusiasm. The Korean working people live and struggle in the revolutionary soldier spirit, regarding it as their lifeline to bolster up the army of Songun which serves as a treasured sword for defending socialism. They will as ever remain true to the ideology of the DPRK and Korean revolutionary mode and creative method and thus surely build a thriving nation of Juche on this land. Minju Joson says that sky-high is the spirit of the Korean working people looking far into the eternally rosy future of the country on the orbit of certain rise and leap forward. |
