Officials Observe May Day
Pyongyang, May 1 (KCNA) -- Senior Party and state officials significantly observed the 120th anniversary of May Day, the international holiday of the working people the world over, together with working people across the country.

Kim Yong Il, Choe Thae Bok, Kim Ki Nam, Yang Hyong Sop and Chairman of the Central Committee of the Korean Social Democratic Party Kim Yong Dae, leading officials of the Cabinet, ministries, national institutions, local party and power organs and working people's organizations visited the Rakwon Machine Complex, the State Academy of Sciences, the Kim Jong Thae Electric Locomotive Complex, the Chollima Steel Complex, the Migok Co-operative Farm in Sariwon City and other organs and industrial establishments and farms to congratulate the workers, agricultural workers and intellectuals on the holiday.

The senior Party and state officials laid bouquets before statues of President Kim Il Sung, portraits of smiling President and mosaic paintings with portraits of the peerlessly great persons. Going round museums of their revolutionary activities, rooms devoted to history of relevant units and other places, they were briefed on the shining path covered by them under the leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea.

They met innovators who have performed feats in the on-going great surge true to the Songun leadership of General Secretary Kim Jong Il and gave a pep-talk to them.

They spent the holiday joining the working people in playing tug of war, Korean chess, Yut games and other colorful sports and amusement games and enjoying art performances.
