Russian Medal Awarded to Kim Jong Il

| Pyongyang, May 4 (KCNA) -- The government of the Russian Federation awarded General Secretary Kim Jong Il a medal for commemoration of the 65th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War. The ceremony for conveying the commemorative medal took place at the Russian embassy in Pyongyang on Tuesday. Present there were DPRK Foreign Minister Pak Ui Chun, Vice-Director of the History Institute of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea Ri Kwang, officials concerned and Ambassador Valery Sukhinin and staff members of the Russian embassy. Valery Sukhinin handed over the medal and its diploma to Pak Ui Chun. |
