Russian Medals Awarded to Korean Fighters

| Pyongyang, May 4 (KCNA) -- The Russian government awarded medals for commemoration of the 65th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War to anti-Japanese revolutionary fighters Ri Ul Sol, Kim Chol Man, Ri Jong San, Hwang Sun Hui, Kim Ok Sun, Pak Kyong Suk, Ri Yong Suk, Jon Sun Hui and Ri Jong In. An awarding ceremony took place at the Russian embassy in Pyongyang on Tuesday. Present there were Pak Ui Chun, minister of Foreign Affairs of the DPRK, Ri Kwang, vice-director of the History Institute of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, and Valery Sukhinin, Russian ambassador, and staff members of his embassy. The medals and their diplomas were awarded to the fighters. A reception was given at the Russian embassy in this regard. |
