Present there were Vice-Premier of the Cabinet O Su Yong, Minister of State Construction Control Pae Tal Jun, Minister of Urban Management Hwang Hak Won, Minister of Capital City Construction Kim Ung Gwan, and officials, designers, technicians, teachers, researchers and creators in the fields of architecture, construction and building materials from Pyongyang and local areas.

Speakers stressed the need to attach importance to architectural science research, saying that this provides a fundamental guarantee for pushing back the frontiers of the latest science in the architectural creation.

They also called for introducing new structures and building materials in the construction of houses and proposed such ways for perfecting buildings in architectural style as modernization of construction equipment and tools and application of formative arts to the construction.
