Rodong Sinmun on Unearthed Art Works Depicting Kim Il Sung
Pyongyang, May 6 (KCNA) -- The recent discovery of fine art works depicting President
Kim Il Sung created and distributed in the period of the anti-Japanese armed struggle is, indeed, of weighty importance not only in the history of the Juche-oriented fine art but the history of the development of the Juche-oriented literature and arts.

Rodong Sinmun Thursday says this in a signed article.

It goes on:

The above-said fine art works serve as a precious historic treasure that helps make the roots of the Juche-oriented literature and arts stronger.

The discovery of those works makes it possible for the Juche-oriented literature and arts to scientifically clarify and ascertain the historical origin of creating works portraying the leader in the field of fine art as well as in the fields of literature and music.

The fine art works portraying the President dating back to the period of the anti-Japanese armed struggle highly laud him as a central figure in the national liberation struggle and the invincible and iron-willed commander who led huge enemy troops by the nose.

These works truthfully deal with the noble traits of the President who left lots of legends about his love for people behind, sharing weal and woe with them in the whole period of the anti-Japanese armed struggle.

Noting that the DPRK's tradition of the revolutionary literature and arts represents the tradition of the Songun revolutionary literature and arts the roots of which struck despite the tempest of Songun, the article says:

The fact that those who gave an origin to the fine art works portraying the leader in Korea were servicepersons of the Korean People's Revolutionary Army goes to prove once again the truth of the Songun revolutionary cause and its great vitality.

Kim Jong Suk, an anti-Japanese heroine, was a great pioneer of the anti-Japanese revolutionary fine art and a forerunner in creating fine art works depicting the leader, the article notes, and goes on:

Embroidery "Thinking of Motherland" done by her is a precious fine art work portraying the leader, reflecting the Korean people's profound reverence for Kim Il Sung.
