A function took place in Sambong-ri, Phyongwon County, South Phyongan Province, to mark the beginning of the activities.

Present at the function were officials of the Central Committee of the Red Cross Society of the DPRK and its branch of South Phyongan Province, young volunteers and a member of the delegation of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies working in the DPRK.

An explanation was given with regard to observing traffic regulations willingly, to be followed by a question-and-answer session on the prevention of traffic accidents and an art performance of young volunteers.
