The statement made it clear that the DPRK is willing to join in the international efforts for nuclear non-proliferation and safe handling of nuclear substance on an equal footing with other nuclear weapons states.

Nevertheless, the U.S. imperialists have persisted in their moves hostile toward the DPRK, it noted, adding that the war maneuvers for invasion of the DPRK being staged in south Korea are a challenge to the Korean nation's cause of peace and a main factor of escalating the military tension on the Korean Peninsula.

Expressing belief that the DPRK will join in the international efforts for nuclear disarmament on an equal footing with other nuclear weapons states, the statement declared that the Central Committee of the Bangladesh Communist Party would as ever support the just cause of the Korean people led by the Workers' Party of Korea.
